Revelation: Historical Markers as Clues

Have Christians – in times of trial, apostasy and persecution – been guided by the “historical markers” in the Book?

What historical markers are repeatedly provided to clue in the reader of the book of Revelation?

When dealing with Historical Markers, we mean there is something that is in the book, in this case Revelation, anticipated as an historic event, not yet occurred...prophesied in other words, and when the time comes, it is Marked by the book...so when reading the book or living in the age, one can understand that yes...this is what Revelation was anticipating.

To understand an historical marker you have to know two things. You must know the details of the Biblical record and you have to know your history well. If you don't know both well, you are not going to be able to answer well, worse yet you may read into it another solution, thereby missing the important understanding of Scripture.

We tend not to expect real life situation... we tend to think we're here to get saved and that is all there is to it. The Bible, however, forces us, to content for the truth in the realism in the world in which we live, and in addition to that, not are we only to contend with the problems, but we are to teach the world how to solve the problems that befall us.

Hisotircal markeers not only mark details and descriptions from books, but they seqence events that are anticipated in the book of Revelation as well.
